ATLANTA GA. Dec. 18, 2007 — A condo resident angry at noise from a construction site next door to his Buckhead building shot and wounded a construction worker Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police spokesman Officer James Polite says 30-year-old Alan Toumani Foucher faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail Tuesday afternoon.
Polite said the worker’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Residents of a condominium next to the construction site in Buckhead were interviewed as part of the investigation into the incident.
Officials said Foucher stepped out onto the balcony of his unit at the Branford on Peachtree building in the 2100 block of Peachtree Road and fired a shot at the construction site next to the building.
Officers swarmed into the building just after 11 a.m. and arrested the Foucher.
The wounded construction worker, shot in the face, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
