Police have arrested three people in connection with a break-in that took place at Boyne Highlands early today, Thursday.According to a Michigan State Police news release, police were called to the resort at about 4:30 a.m. when an employee grooming a ski hill noticed snowmobile tracks in an area where snowmobiles are not allowed. The employee notified security officers who called 9-1-1 when they noticed lights on in the administration office.Police said the suspects had stolen snowmobiles on the resort’s property, then broke into a snack shop and used the snowmobiles to transport items taken from the shop to a rental room on the resort property. Authorities said resort security officers caught one of the suspects who later admitted to involvement in the incident and provided information about the possible whereabouts of the two remaining suspects who were later taken into custody.
Police did not release the suspects names.
