http://www.privateofficer.com/ A security officer at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating plant alerted township police after searching a contractor’s vehicle when he attempted to gain entry onto the plant property about 9 a.m. Friday, said David Benson, spokesman for the plant.
Thomas Campbell Jr, 49, of Penguin Court in the Forked River section, was taken into custody after the security officer, who was doing a routine search of his truck, noticed something that was believed to be illegal drugs, Benson said.
Security notified police that they had the man in custody and officers responded to the plant to assist the officers.
Campbell was issued a summons by police for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and was released on site Lt. James Veltri said.
