Nightclub bouncers charged with attempted murder www.privateofficer.com

http://www.privateofficer.com/ Two nightclub bouncers are accused of beating a man so severely that he may lose sight in one eye, police said.
The incident happened June 14 about 5:30 a.m. outside the Tiki Lounge at 105 Main St., according to Capt. David Smith of the Sanford Police Department.
Loren Dale Rose went to the lounge looking for his girlfriend but never entered the business, Smith said. Rose asked the bouncers to get his girlfriend to come outside, Smith said.
Two of the security bouncers, William Nicholas Mabe and John Mark Evans, recognized Rose from an encounter several months ago, Smith said.
According to witnesses and the police report, Mabe and Evans then chased Rose into an alley, Smith said. Witnesses told police the bouncers were kicking Rose and beating him with a metal chair and metal pipe, Smith said.
One witness said it was brutal and for no reason at all.
Rose was taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill for treatment, Smith said.
“He’s out (of the hospital) now,” Smith said. “According to him, he may lose the use of one eye.”
Mabe, 30, of the 3800 block of Avents Ferry Road in Sanford, and Evans, 31, of the 6100 block of Windy Farm Lane in Holly Springs, are charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, police said.
A third man is expected to be charged, Smith said Monday.
Bail was denied for Mabe, who also is charged with attempted murder, police said.
Evans’ bail was set at $10,000.
