http://www.privateofficer.com/ Authorities say that store loss prevention officers at a local store apprehended New Hampshire man who has been accused of trying to steal over $4,000 worth of merchandise.
Witnesses told deputies that two men attempted to steal nearly $4,400 of Zyrtec, Prilosec and DVDs from a local Wal-Mart.
The two was seen taking a carseat out of its box and replacing it with the pills and DVDs at the Wal-Mart at 8320 Lockwood Ridge Road, according to a sheriff’s department report.
Roberto V. Kearse, 22 was charged with grand theft, a felony and taken to the county jail.
Authorities said Kearse then put the car seat box in a shopping cart and pushed it out through the garden section, but he was stopped by a security officer and later arrested.
It wasn’t clear if the accomplice in the theft was arrested.
