Tuesday was a busy day for police at the Mount Pocono Wal-Mart as four suspected shoplifters were nabbed at the store.
Around 3 p.m., Pocono Mountain Regional Police were called to the store on Route 940 to reports of a man fighting with store loss-prevention officers.
The man, Oscar Hernandes, 19, of New Jersey, was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and retail theft after biting and kicking store employees, police said. Hernandes was arraigned and his bail was set at $1,000 after police learned he is an illegal immigrant.
Also arrested at the store Tuesday:
Robert Lee Davis, 48, of Stroudsburg, tried to steal a home theater system and two pillows, valued at $307.76.
Arthur Harris Jr. and John Digiovanna, both 18 and of Cresco, tried to leave the store with stereo equipment around 8 p.m
