http://www.privateofficer.com/ A loss prevention regional manager and other security employees are under arrest today after investigators assisted Nordstrom’s department store with an internal investigation.
Montgomery County authorities say that a half dozen suspects are charged with ripping off Nordstrom’s department store for months if not longer.
On Tuesday, Upper Merion police unloaded more than $25,000 worth of designer clothing, allegedly stolen by a theft ring that included four ex-employees whose job it was to prevent shoplifting the high end retailer at the King of Prussia Mall.
“This was the fox guarding the henhouse,” said Montgomery County D.A. Rita Ferman.
Police say the ringleader was Rozita Davani of Wyncote, who was the regional director of loss prevention.
Authorities say that in her operation she used other employees from her security unit and their relatives to return merchandise stolen from the mailroom.
Those items had been ordered from the King of Prussia store, and others in New Jersey and Maryland.
Six suspects are in custody. One remains at large. Authorities say that the investigation is on-going and more arrests are expected.
All of those arrested face a bond release and a court date.
