JACKSONVILLE, Fla. OCT 5 2008 — Federal prosecutors have indicted a 28-year-old man on charges he brought two minors from Virginia to Jacksonville to engage in sex acts for money.
Marvin Leigh Madkins, of Newport News, Va., is accused on two counts of sex trafficking of minors, one count of transportation of minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
U.S. Attorney Robert O’Neill said Madkins recruited and transported two minors across state lines between April 1 and June 8, knowing that they would engage in prostitution and commercial sex acts

Madkins is also accused of possession a shotgun while committing the federal crimes.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the intelligence unit of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
If convicted of all charges, Madkins could face up to life in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
