Authorities responded to an area store to assist loss prevention agents after they say that a shoplifter assaulted the agents.
Now police say that Canton woman could face 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine stemming from the robbery that started with three pillow cases and a soap dish.

Darnella L. Jenkins, 23, of 513 Shorb Ave. NW, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday at the WalMart store at 4004 Tuscarawas St. W on aggravated robbery and marijuana possession charges. The robbery charge is a first-degree felony.
A Canton Police report said that security personnel had been watching her as she tried taking several items without paying for them and as she tried to leave the store without paying for the items, loss prevention agents tried stopping her. Stark County Jail records said that when she was confronted by store security, she sprayed the officers with mace and punched them before biting one of them. She was subdued and taken into custody.
Police said that three pillow cases and a soap container was recovered in her purse. The items were valued at a total of $52.50.
She remained in the jail this morning, held in lieu of $50,000 bond, jail records said. S

he was convicted in April of misdemeanor theft involving a WalMart store. Stark County Court records said she was given a 180-day suspended sentence, ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and ordered to stay out of WalMart.
She completed the community service portion of her sentence in September.
