A Philadelphia police spokeswoman said that officers were called to a local K-Mart after a store manager was shot numerous times by a boyfriend of one of the employees.

A Philadelphia police spokeswoman said that officers were called to a local K-Mart after a store manager was shot numerous times by a boyfriend of one of the employees.
Police say that the two were arguing and when the store manager intervened; the man pulled a handgun and shot him.
Police tracked the man to his house and officers said a gunshot went off in a second-floor bedroom as officers entered Daryl Anthony Birch’s home at about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The spokeswoman says 30-year-old Birch shot himself in the head.
Officers had been searching for Birch since Tuesday morning’s shooting.
Police say Birch shot the 35-year-old Kmart manager three times.
The manager is reported in critical condition at a hospital and is expected to survive.
