http://www.privateofficer.com/ – Two employees of the Coweta County sheriff’s department can now sit back and relax a little and not worry about the bills.
Crystal Grant surprised her husband, Anthony, when she called and met him for lunch this week to tell him they had won a $2.5 Millionaire Jumbo Bucks instant game prize.
Crystal, who works at the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office along with her husband, said she stopped at the Roadrunner Convenience Center on Farmer Industrial Boulevard in Newnan while on a lunch break and purchased the ticket.
She scratched it in the car.
“I called my husband and asked him to join me for lunch,” she said. “When he arrived, I held up the ticket. He had to drive the car at that point.”
The couple has worked together for the sheriff’s office which is in the metro Atlanta area for nearly two decades. Grant, 45, is the captain over the office’s criminal investigations unit and his wife is a citations and state court clerk.
When asked what they would do with their new found wealth, the couple said “Our first thought is to pay off all of our bills,” and then we’ll see Grant said.
The couple have been married for 23 years, and have two adult sons, a teenage daughter and two grandchildren.
