Authorities have arrested Houston man was who they say was involved in a theft at the First Colony Mall on Wednesday. Police also said that the suspect assaulted security officers who were trying to detain him after allegedly stealing clothing from a store.
Sugar Land responded to assist mall security officers at 11:45a.m. and have arrested Edin Rolando Aceituno Cardona, 21.
A “loss prevention officer” told police he saw Cardona stealing clothing from an Abercrombie and Fitch store in the mall, a Sugar Land Police Department spokesman said.
“When confronted, Cardona ran from loss prevention agents who notified mall officers.
Police said that mall security officers were able to locate Cardena.

He was arrested and charged with robbery due to an altercation” with the security officers, police said.
Cardona was later transported to Fort Bend County Jail in Richmond.
