NC Security officer robbed on the job www.privateofficer.com

Authorities are investigating the robbery of a security guard at a packaging business that occurred late Saturday.
Sheriff Deputies said that the robbery happened just after midnight at Corbett Package Co., 1200 Castle Hayne Road, according to a statement from Deputy Charles Smith, spokesman for the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the security guard, who police did not identify, a man entered the business, demanded the security guard’s wallet, and then left.
Deputies responded with a K-9 unit and searched the area but did not find the suspect.
The sheriff’s department did not state if a weapon was used or if the security officer was injured in the incident.
Deputies ask anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office’s detectives unit at 798-4260.
