Man charged after fighting with security www.privateofficer.com

DESTIN Fla April 14 2009
nwfdailynews.com – A Fort Walton Beach man faces battery and disorderly conduct charges after an altercation with security guards at Club Overboard in Destin.
According to the arrest report, Mark Triplett – who has multiple prior convictions for batteries – was breaking beer bottles on the ground inside the club.
When a security guard asked him to leave, Triplett pushed the guard against a wall and tried to hit him.
He then began running around, trying to get away from other security guards, the report continues. When he was caught, he resisted their efforts to restrain him and elbowed two of the guards in the face.
The security guards held him on the ground outside the establishment until a deputy arrived.
Another man was standing nearby while the deputy was trying to take Triplett into custody, according to his arrest report, and the deputy repeatedly asked him to back up. The man refused to comply until the deputy removed a baton from his belt and informed him that he was under arrest.
The man now faces a charge of resisting an officer.
