www.privateofficer.com A Myrtle Beach man was charged with assault after he hit a motel security officer who asked him to leave the pool area because it was closed, police said.
According to the security officer, Stephen James Malloney, 37, of 183 Lander Lane, was asked to leave the pool but refused to do so.
Malloney became loud and threatening and then assaulted the security officer and police was called.
Malloney is charged with simple assault and public intoxication.
