TN. man on the run 29 yrs captured www.privateofficer.com
Police arrested Robert T. Henry in Troy, N.Y., on Monday, part of the state’s effort to round up escaped convicts that started in 2007. A Tennessean newspaper report showed shortcomings in the system for tracking and prosecuting escaped convicts that allowed more than 120 fugitives to dodge capture for years.
The Department of Correction said 14 prisoners who fled custody have been caught.
However, Henry claims this is all a big misunderstanding.
“I was granted executive clemency and a full governor’s pardon for agreeing never to return to the state of Tennessee 29 years ago,” said Henry.
Henry was serving a 10-to-15-year sentence for a robbery conviction when he was granted a temporary leave from the workhouse in 1980 and didn’t return.

Yankee fans locked out of stadium create disturbance www.privateofficer.com
Police say 25-year-old Rozana Franco was charged with assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration following the attack.
Franco was one of hundreds of fans who reportedly left the stadium during a rain delay after claiming Yankee employees told them the game had been rained out.
They were refused re-entry by Yankees officials, citing longstanding team policy.
Eyewitness News is told Franco became irate with stadium security, catching the attention of a nearby NYPD sergeant, who called over other officers to assist.
One of the officers handcuffed Franco with the intention of issuing her a summons for disorderly conduct. Handcuffed, she fell to the ground, spilling some of her belongs onto the pavement.
When one of the other officers leaned over to pick up the belongings, Franco allegedly kicked him in the face.
The officer was taken to the hospital, where doctors said he has a possible broken nose. Further tests are pending.
The officer, assigned to the Manhattan North Task Force, was part of a special contingent of extra officers brought in for the game.
Hundreds of fans reportedly left the stadium and were not permitted to re-enter. Many claimed they were told by stadium security the game would be canceled. It started at around 9:20 p.m.
A Yankee spokesman cited the team’s no re-entry policy, and said no fans were allowed to return to the stadium.
The subject was the topic of discussion on sports talk radio Tuesday morning.

Police capture suspect in violent security officer robbery www.privateofficer.com
Dalord Dumas, 32, is being held in Mercer County Jail on a separate stalking warrant, according to South Brunswick Police spokesman Sgt. Hugh McNeil. He was arrested Friday.
When detectives interrogated him in Trenton, Dumas allegedly admitted that he — with the help of a second man — attacked and robbed a woman at a Home Depot warehouse on Docks Corner Road where she works as a security officer.
He gave police details about the second man, McNeil said, but no warrant had been issued by this afternoon and his name was not available.
The victim, a 43-year-old woman, told police masked assailants beat her and zapped her with a taser, then tied her up and stole her portable DVD player and purse, McNeil said today.
Dumas is charged in Middlesex County with robbery and aggravated assault, but won’t be processed until the stalking charge is dealt with in Trenton. A $250,000 warrant, with no 10-percent option, was issued with the robbery warrant and is being used to hold Dumas in Mercer County.
Anyone with information about the case can contact South Brunswick Police at 732-329-4646.

New Orleans Saints fire players over lewd behavior www.privateofficer.com
Ealy, who signed with the Saints in January after being released from the Tennessee Titans, has appeared in only four games. He has one reception for six yards.
New Orleans signed Kapanui to the practice squad midway through the 2008 season after going undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft. He hasn’t appeared in a game.
Both were arrested after they were allegedly seen urinating in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokesman John Fortunato said two women drove up to the players and told them to stop.
Ealy, 24, then turned around, exposing himself in the process and began making lewd comments, Fortunato said.
Kapanui, 25, turned around, exposing himself before “fondling himself” and making lewd comments, Fortunato said.
Both players told arresting officers they were members of the New Orleans Saints, Fortunato said, but were arrested anyway and taken to jail and given a $4,250 bond.
