Teacher charged with lewd communications with student www.privateofficer.com
Police say Geneva Henry had been sending lewd messages to a 14-year-old student through MySpace since December 2008. The student was a freshman in Henry’s English class.
An investigation into the claim revealed that the student felt he could talk to Henry about anything and the two began talking on MySpace a short time before Christmas. About two months into the friendship the student began to get messages of a sexual nature.
The student saved the messages into a word document for the investigator.
When administrators from Jupiter Christian School confronted Geneva Henry, before the police investigation, Ms. Henry resigned from her position and confessed to sending the messages.
The student also told the investigator that Henry had written poems about the student saying that she got “butterflies in her stomach every time he walked by.”
Henry surrender herself at the Palm Beach County Jail today where she will be charged with lewd and lascivious conduct.
