Teacher accused of sexual communications with 7th grader www.privateofficer.com

HOUSTON TX June 5 2009 (KTRK) — A local middle school teacher is off the job, all for what he’s accused of doing to a seventh grade student. Investigators are focusing on that teacher’s cell phone.
The teacher is on paid administrative leave pending results of the investigation. Authorities told us that they are looking into claims that the teacher used his cell phone for more than making phone calls.
On the last day of school before summer, it was not the news Arnold Middle School students or parents wanted to hear.
“It’s kind of gross,” said student Whitley Fouch.
It kind of sickens me to think he would he would take advantage of the girls,” said parent Lisa McCollum.
They’re accusations that a teacher used his cell phone to commit unspeakable acts.
“The basic allegation is that a teacher at Arnold was taking some inappropriate pictures underneath their dresses,” said Asst. Chief Mark Herman of the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
The allegations first surfaced last week after investigators say two female students, ages 12 and 13, reported the incident to a teacher. From there, the constable’s office started their investigation.
On Wednesday, officers took written statements from the girls, while their hi-techs crime unit began processing possible evidence.
“Once we determined that it was a cell phone that was used, we immediately got a search warrant to seize that phone,” said Herman.s
The teacher, identified only as a 27-year-old man, was removed from the class last Friday. According to the school district, that is standard procedure while investigations are underway.
While these are just allegations, one parent worries if pictures do exist, he hopes they don’t end up in wrong hands.
“How quickly it can be passed around the world is just frightening,” said parent Mike McCollum.
Cy Fair ISD Spokesperson Kelli Durham said, “As is our protocol, a thorough investigation is being conducted. Upon its conclusion, the need for and extent of disciplinary action will be determined

The students at your school are fortunate that there was no cover up and that the Police carried out an investigation.
What really hurts is when victims are dismissed.

Michelle – please be more sensitive to students whoes trust may have been betrayed. yes it’s allegations being investigated and presumably to go before a court but you have not more right to claim his innocence than others have to proclaim his guilt.
There are serious allegations. They need to be investigated.
Nothing hurts victims more than to be dismissed without proper investigation.
