$2 Million in diamonds missing in transit www.privateofficer.com

A diamond shipment worth nearly $2 million went missing somewhere between New York and Chicago.
An armored car service was supposed to deliver the diamonds to the Jeweler’s Row on Wabash Avenue on Wednesday, but when it got there, it was noticed that the diamonds were missing.
Police believe the theft happened during the commute and said the armed car service also stopped in Kentucky prior to its arrival in Chicago.
The diamonds are valued at $1.7 million, police said.
