Shots fired at security officer www.privateofficer.com
SANTA ANA CA July 30 2009- A security guard investigating suspicious activity at an apartment complex was shot at, but the bullets missed him, police said.
The incident began at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday when the security guard working at the Villa del Sol apartment complex at 810 South Sullivan St. was attending a resident meeting and two kids told him they saw “suspicious guys,” said Santa Ana police Cmdr. Tammy Franks.
The security guard found two men and tried to talk to them to determine if they lived at the complex, Franks said.
The men refused to stop and one of them turned around and fired two shots at the security guard, Franks said.
The men then ran to an adjacent mobile home complex at 631 South Sullivan Street.
The man armed with the gun was described as Hispanic, between 19-22 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was wearing a white and gray flannels.
The second suspect was described as Hispanic, between 19 – 22 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 150 pounds with short black hair. He was wearing black clothing.
