November 8, 2009 Police charge man with burglarizing cars at hospital www.privateofficer.com
Theodore John Pietryga, 48, of 1322 Fifth St. No. 1 in Coralville was arrested Friday for second-degree burglary and unauthorized use of a credit card.
According to University of Iowa Department of Public Safety complaints, Pietryga was observed on hospital security cameras reaching into an occupied vehicle and taking debit cards from the victim’s wallet, located on the passenger seat, at 1:52 p.m. Oct. 20.
Pietryga used the debit cards to buy food in the hospital cafeteria, police said.
Pietryga admitted to police that he was at the hospital Oct. 20, police said.
Pietryga was released Saturday from the Johnson County Jail on his own recognizance. A phone message left for Pietryga was not returned Saturday
