Miami police still searching for killer of retired Captain www.privateofficer.com

MiamiFla Dec 1 2009 – Miami police on Monday re-enacted the shooting death of a retired police captain earlier this year in hopes it would turn up a clue in the case.

Police have had no major breaks in the the July 10 killing of retired Capt. Robert Yee, a 25-year veteran with the Miami Police Department. He was shot and killed at the Hurricane Cove Marina, 1884 NW North River Drive, where he worked as a yard manager and security guard.

Lee, 61, was shot twice in the head during daylight hours after confronting a vehicle inside the boat yard. The car is thought to be a newer model 4-door silver Toyota Corolla.

An $11,000 reward is being offered in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
