Officer R.J. Hink of the Marion Police Department arrested Keith Credle, 40, of 140 W. Grayson Street in Marion.
A call to 911 dispatchers Saturday afternoon sent officers to Burke’s Outlet where the store’s loss prevention manager, James Falduto, was fighting with the suspect in the parking lot. By the time officers arrived, the man had fled into nearby Rose’s, according to a report filed by Hink.
The man was detained by reserve officers until Hink arrived and identified him as Credle. Some digital cameras and mp3 players were recovered and identified by Falduto as belonging to Burke’s.
The manager of Rose’s told officers she recognized Credle as having been involved in a larceny at her store on Nov. 18.
Burke’s security video showed Credle taking the items, the report stated. He was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny. He remained in custody Monday at the McDowell County Jail under $2,500 .
