www.privateofficer.com On Friday at 9:16 a.m. officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, on Willowbrook Road to assist security personnel after they were assaulted.
When the officers arrived on the scene they contacted the security officers who told them that a patient, John Landis refused to leave the facility after being discharged.

The security staff also advised the officers that Landis became belligerent and started yelling at the hospital staff and then punched a security guard.
Landis, 37 of Hyndman, was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the police station for processing.
Landis was later taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing and as a result of the bond hearing Landis was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on an $8,500.00 bond.
