PRIVATE OFFICER NEWS
http://www.privateofficer.com/ — Police say that two brothers were arrested early Saturday after one of them punched a Blue Chip Casino security officer in the face while refusing to leave the business.
At about 12:45 a.m. following the assault several officers arrived and encountered a crowd of at least 30 people around the front door.
The brothers were shouting obscenities to security guards as they were being followed to the front doors, according to police reports.
According to police reports, Timothy Daniel Emerick, 24, 3108 N. County Road 850 West, and his brother, Jacob Matthew Emerick, 28, San Diego, were asked to leave because they started fighting with other patrons inside the It’s Vegas, Baby! restaurant.
Jacob, along with some women, was trying to pull Timothy out the revolving door in front when Timothy pushed his way back inside and attacked one of the guards, punching and scratching him and ripping his shirt. Timothy then sat down in front of the doors and continued cursing, and his brother had to be restrained by several people.
Both Timothy and Jacob Emerick were arrested on charges of battery, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Jacob Emerick was also arrested on a Monroe County warrant for probation violation and a La Porte County warrant for escape.
