PLAINS TWP. PA Feb 19 2010 – A Mountain Top man was arrested by township police on charges he was in possession of cocaine at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs casino early Thursday morning.

Alfonzo Glenn, 37, of Gracedale Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.

According to the criminal complaint:

Glenn was inside the casino playing slot machines and was recorded by surveillance cameras removing a bag from his pocket around 4 a.m. Glenn left the gaming floor and walked to a restroom dropping a bag on the floor.

A cleaning employee picked up the bag that contained white rocks, the criminal complaint says.

Glenn left the casino and got into a vehicle. He reentered the casino and was recorded looking to the floor, the criminal complaint says.

Glenn left the casino, searched the vehicle, and was stopped by security when he attempted to enter the casino a third time.

Police said in the criminal complaint that the white rocks tested positive for cocaine.

A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled on Feb. 25 before District Judge Diana Malast in Plains Township.
