Authorities have found a dead body at the Prince George County youth facility and have now identified her as a 65 year old woman from Bel Air Maryland who was a teacher at the facility.
Police said that Hannah E. Wheeling found dead and was partially clothed and had been “assaulted,” though few other details were available.
The facility was on lockdown as police interviewed staff and students.
We talked to a former co-worker and neighbors of Wheeling, who described her as a passionate bookwork who actually enjoyed her 75 mile commute to Cheltenham, Md. and spent her weekends making lesson plans.
Police say that they are not releasing any other details in this on-going investigation.
Wheeling taught literature and history.
