NASHVILLE, Tenn.June 22 2010 – Funeral arrangements have been set for the security guard who collapsed and died at the CMA Music Festival.
A public visitation for Fred Stapleton will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home at 2707 Gallatin Road. A private family service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, a trust has been set for the family at Suntrust Bank in the name of his daughter, Lindsay A. Stapleton.
Stapleton collapsed on Friday, June 11 near a medical tent at the CMA Music Festival. He was working a night shift as a security guard for Rock Solid Incorporated.
A benefit concert has been planned in honor of Stapleton. It will be Thursday, July 1 at Mercy Lounge. Stephen Cochran will perform along with other acts. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. All money raised will go towards the Lindsay A. Stapleton trust.
