School resource officer fired for posting nude pictures www.privateofficer.com
RABUN COUNTY, Ga.July 14 2010 — A Rabun County school resource officer accused of using a county-issued phone to post nude photos lost his job but does not yet face charges, the sheriff said Tuesday.
Sheriff Frank Andrews said he asked the district attorney’s office to help investigate Kendrick Maxwell and accusations of solicitation of prostitution and misappropriating county-issued equipment.
Maxwell was suspected of using a county owned Black Berry to take nude photographs of himself and post them to the website Craigslist on a personal e-mail account, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Rabun County education officials and Andrews said they decided to fire Maxwell after an internal investigation. Maxwell called the internet posting a stupid mistake in a released statement.
The Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office was reviewing the case before deciding on any charges
