Police charge man with assaulting security officer www.privateofficer.com

A 23-year-old Ypsilanti Township man was arrested this morning after Ann Arbor police say he punched a security guard who wouldn’t let him use the VIP entrance to a South Fifth Avenue bar.
The 20-year-old security guard had a cut above his eye after being punched at least twice in the face outside The Fifth Quarter at 1 a.m., a police report said.
He refused medical attention. The security guard and another employee escorted the man off the property and called 911, police said.
The suspect ran away from the bar, but officers caught up with him shortly after and took him to Washtenaw County Jail, the report said.
