QUEENSBURY NY Sept 18 2010 — A 29-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after assaulting a security officer who confronted her as she attempted to leave a K-Mart store with stolen merchandise, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office says.
Amandra Mosher was leaving a Super K-Mart store on Dix Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. when a security officer who observed her on surveillance video putting merchandise into her purse approached her, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Mosher punched slapped the security officer in the face, kicked him in the groin and bit him on the arm, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Mosher was taken into custody by a sheriff’s deputy without further incident and the stolen property was recovered, said the Sheriff’s Office. She has been charged with felony third-degree robbery.
Mosher was arraigned Friday morning in Queensbury Town Court and remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail.
