Fleeing shoplifter crashes into Nashville store www.privateofficer.com
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. OCT 20 2010 – An alleged shoplifter lost control of his car while trying to elude police and ran into a tire store at Rivergate Mall, hitting a customer.
It happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Sears at Rivergate Mall. Police said a man was trying to get away from mall security in a Ford sedan, when he lost control of the car and ran into the Goodyear tire store.
The customer inside the store was hit. He hurt his back and was cut by some glass from the window. He was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Police said the suspect tried to run away after the crash but was held by employees until police arrived. Goodlettsville police arrested the man, and he is expected to face numerous charges.
