Decatur GA Oct 25 2010 Two off-duty DeKalb County police officers shot and killed an armed suspect Sunday night, police said.
The officers were working security at an apartment complex on North Hairston Road when they observed a suspect engaged in a criminal act, DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish told the AJC.
The officers approached the suspect and at some point were forced to shoot, Parish said. The suspect’s name was not released.
The two officers, whose names were not released, will be placed on paid administrative leave, which is protocol, Parish said.
