ELKRIDGE, Md Nov 11 2010 . – Howard County police report that they have arrested an Elkridge man stabbing a security officer at an Ellicott City restaurant last week.
Detectives believe the suspect , Joshuwa Wayne Collins, 21, of 7120 Beverly Drive in Elkridge stabbed Brian Johnson in the neck as he was being escorted out of the La Palapa Grill on November 3rd for being disorderly.
Johnson, 44, of Rockville, was transported by ambulance to the University of Maryland, Shock Trauma where he was treated and released.
Collins is charged with attempted first degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
He was arrested in Glen Burnie on Monday evening without incident and is being held without bond at Howard County Detention Center
