CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.Nov 14 2010 – Clarksville police said a teacher’s aide has been charged with seven counts of rape of a child.
Officials said the alleged abuse by Barry McCoy took place on more than one occasion in McCoy’s home while he babysat for a working mother.
Police investigated after receiving a DCS referral in March about the possible abuse.
Clarksville Police said the 30-year-old was a foster parent. He was also employed at WEEMS Academy as a teacher’s aide during the time the abuse happened which was sometime between January and March of 2010.
McCoy was booked into jail Thursday on a $75,000 bond.
