INDIANAPOLIS IN Nov 18 2010 – Airport police say a passenger admitted to punching a transportation security officer in the chest.

The incident occurred at a security checkpoint in the Indianapolis International Airport just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the police report, 51-year-old John Christina was going through the advanced imaging technology machine when he asked the TSO a question about the screening process.

The officer doesn’t normally work in the Indianapolis airport so he told Christina he was not familiar with the process and couldn’t answer his question.

At that point, Christina punched the officer in the chest.

When the officer asked why he did that?

Christina stated, “I was only kidding with you.”

Airport police say there were several witnesses to what happened and Christina admitted to them he punched the officer.

Christina was arrested and processed at the Marion County Jail. He faces a charge of battery.
