Seal Beach CA. Nov 22 2010 An 88-year-old man was in police custody Sunday after he allegedly shot and killed an 86-year-old woman at a Seal Beach convalescent home, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about noon at the Country Villa Healthcare Center, Seal Beach Police Sgt. Steve Bowles said.
Within three minutes of 911 calls, officers from the Seal Beach Police Department surrounded the facility and were joined by the California Highway Patrol, Los Alamitos police, Cypress police and Orange County sheriff’s deputies, Bowles said.
When they entered the facility, they were directed to a room where they found the woman, the man and a .38-caliber revolver, Bowles said.
