HOUSTON TX Dec 20 2010 – Police were investigating Sunday after a security guard at a southwest Houston apartment complex shot and killed a man during an altercation.
Authorities said a woman and her boyfriend were arguing in a car outside their apartment in the 6405 block of Westward around 5:30 a.m. when the woman got out to ask for help.
Police said the woman found a nearby security guard, who approached the vehicle and tried to intervene.
Authorities said the boyfriend and a friend who was in the backseat attacked the security guard. The guard then pulled out his gun and shot the boyfriend, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The security guard and other male were taken to the hospital to be checked for injuries.
The scene was still under investigation.
