PITTSBURGH PA Feb 19 2011 — A South Hills-based security company and its president are being sued by a former secretary who says she was fired for complaining about being sexually harassed.

“She stepped into a buzzsaw,” said Jennifer Flynn’s lawyer, Sam Cordes. “According to what we are alleging in the complaint, the owner decided that he wanted to have a sexual relationship with her, and his way of going about that wasn’t the way a gentleman would do it.”

Team 4 investigative reporter Jim Parsons said the company, Specialized Security Response, takes care of security at Shaler Area School District and the Pittsburgh Housing Authority.

The complaint filed in federal court by Flynn alleges the following:

•”On a daily basis, SSR President Robert Arnoni attempted to, and on several occasions actually did, put his hands down Flynn’s blouse… and touched her breasts”

•”Grabbed Flynn’s hand and placed it on his genitals”

•”Exposed his genitals to her during work hours”

•”Repeatedly asked her for oral sex”

•Arnoni sent explicit text messages to Flynn

“They made graphic sexual propositions. They talked about different positions that he would like to try — those types of things,” Cordes said.

Arnoni told Parsons that he denies the allegations in Flynn’s lawsuit. He also said that “previous allegations were made by her while employed at SSR, and those allegations were found to be without merit by the company human resources department.”

Arnoni said Flynn quit her job, but Cordes said that wasn’t the way Flynn left the company.

“To add insult to injury, when she complained about it and said she had talked with an attorney, he said, ‘Well, I’m not going to be threatened with a sexual harassment suit,’ and she was fired,” Cordes said.

Flynn told Arnoni on a regular basis that she did not welcome his advances, and she complained to the company’s human resources director, but she kept going to work because she’s a single mother in her 30s who needed the job, Cordes said.

Flynn still has the text messages that Arnoni sent her and will use them in court, Cordes said.

Arnoni said the truth will come out and he will be vindicated.
