KANSAS CITY, Missouri March 21 2011 – Kansas City, Mo. police say that a security guard shot and killed a man at a 7-11 early Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Independence Ave.
Police said that the shooting happened after the man tried to attack the guard with a knife while being escorted out of the business.
When police arrived they found the victim, a 24-year-old male, with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and back.
The man was taken to Truman Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
