Austin TX March 23 2011 An assistant band director at Hendrickson High School is under arrest for carrying on an inappropriate relationship with one of his students, according to Pflugerville ISD police.
Andrew Polk was placed on administrative leave after allegations surfaced about a relationship involving Polk and a 15-year-old female student. According to investigators, the relationship began in a series of text messages that began in June of 2010. Polk was arrested on Thursday. He has since resigned from his position at Hendrickson High School.
Polk is being charged with having an improper relationship between an educator and a student, a second degree felony.
