Auburn CA March 23 2011 Two Sacramento men were arrested in Auburn on suspicion of burglary and identity theft, after a Target store security guard recognized them as individuals suspected of previously using a stolen credit card at the business.

The men, identified as Stacy Alan King, 22, and Michael Raymond Adame, 28, are suspected of vehicle burglaries in Sacramento and Placer counties.

They entered the Target store on Bell Road in Auburn at 6 p.m. Saturday, and the security guard recognized them as suspects in an incident that had occurred the previous week, according to a Placer County Sheriff’s Department news release. Store security officers monitored the men and called the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies detained the men as they left the store.

Sheriff’s officials said King and Adame were found in possession 20 California driver’s licenses. Investigators contacted 20 separate victims who reported their purses and other items had been stolen when their cars were burglarized in Placer and Sacramento counties.

Investigators suspect the men had been targeting vehicles at gyms and night clubs for several months, then using the victims’ credit cards to purchase electronic items and gift cards.

Both men were booked into Placer County Jail.
