Va Beach security officer victim of armed robbery www.privateofficer.com

 

 

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. May 8 2011 – Virginia Beach police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who robbed a security guard patrolling the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott.

Police said a uniformed security guard was patrolling the lot in the 5700 block of Greenwich Road in VIrginia Beach on Saturday, April 30 at 4:40 a.m., when he saw two men near a pickup truck.

The security guard went over to check on them, when one of the suspects pulled a handgun and made the guard lay on the ground.

After taking the security guard’s property, the suspects got in their vehicle and fled on Greenwich Road.

Police said the security guard was unharmed.
