RALEIGH NC May 19 2011 – A Wake County school bus driver is charged with indecent liberties with a child.
Aubrey Lee Stephens, 50, appeared before a magistrate in Raleigh Wednesday morning.
According to investigators, the allegations do not involve touching. They say Stephens propositioned an 11-year-old girl multiple times on a school bus assigned to an elementary school in Cary during a period from April 1 to April 30.
Police said the school learned of Stephens’ alleged actions and contacted them.
During his appearance before a magistrate, Stephens said he was no longer employed, but worked for Wake County Public Schools for 34 years.
