Columbus Airport police chief arrested for burglary www.privateofficer.com

 
 
Columbus GA June 21 2011 There is no direct statements being released by either the Columbus city police or the Columbus Airport about the arrest of the Columbus Airport police chief.
According to police, 59-year-old Jeffrey Wright was seen breaking into a vehicle in the Carmike 15 parking lot off Whittlesey Boulevard on Friday, June 10th. The charge of entering an auto is a felony.
However, nobody is saying who owned the vehicle or why the chief was breaking into the vehicle.
The Columbus Airport director said Wright has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
The police chief has made bond after police say he was arrested after allegedly breaking into a car.
 

Wright is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
