Michael Allen LaMonica, 51, was scheduled to stand trial Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court, but accepted a plea agreement in which he admitted to the four counts, a court official said.
Judge Susanna Pineda will sentence LaMonica on July 29.
Mesa police arrested LaMonica in March 2010 after a student accused him of molesting her on multiple occasions since 2005, police said.
The girl, now 13, told police LaMonica asked her to help him clean the band room and then removed her clothes. The girl, who was 7 at the time, told authorities that it happened at least twice between January and November 2005.
LaMonica taught music at Brinton Elementary School in east Mesa for nine years before his arrest, according to Mesa Public Schools.
