Bethlehem PA July 24 2011 An Allentown man who was tossed out of Roosevelt’s 21 in Bethlehem on Thursday night came back and pointed a loaded gun at the bouncer, police said.

Anthony Otero, 22, of the 200 block of Nelson Street, was tossed out by Gregory Tillman after assaulting a woman in the bar, according to police.

Otero came back to the bar in the first block of East Elizabeth Avenue about 1 o’clock this morning and when Tillman moved to toss Otero out again, Otero pulled out a gun, police said.

Tillman told police that Otero pointed the gun at him and threatened to shoot, police said. A police officer arrived, Otero ran, and the officer chased him down side streets and through backyards before stopping him in the 400 block of Main Street.

The gun, a Smith and Wesson .38-caliber semi-automatic handgun, was recovered in a yard where Otero ditched it during the chase, police said.

According to court papers Otero is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess a firearm.

He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, illegal possession of a handgun, escape, terroristic threats, harassment and reckless endangerment. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Hawke and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
