Arizona security officer assaulted at nightclub www.privateofficer.com
SCOTTSDALE, AZ Aug 3 2011 – Early Sunday morning, Scottsdale police were called to a possible aggravated assault at an area nightclub. Officers say they arrested 30-year-old Jason Froio, of Scottsdale, for allegedly punching a club security officer in the face at the Revolver Nightclub on East Stetson.
Investigators say that they were informed that Froio had walked out of the back door of the club while allegedly holding a drink. Officers say that club security personnel followed Froio out of the club and reportedly asked him multiple times to return to the club with the drink. According to Scottsdale police, when security attempted to assist the man back inside, Froio purportedly punched the employee in the face while still holding the drink. Officers say the drink glass broke, lacerating the employees face.
Both men were treated for their injuries and the suspect was taken back to jail and booked.
