Jacksonville Fla Aug 26 2011 A 29-year-old Orange Park man was arrested Monday on a charge of employee theft after hundreds of Florida Lottery tickets went missing from a Kangaroo convenience store at 5111 Baymeadows Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The store’s loss-prevention officer discovered about $12,000 in losses from state lottery tickets since May and called police Aug. 17. Further research showed packages of tickets went missing from the Southside store 11 times from June through August, with winning tickets worth a little more than $4,000, police said.
Assistant Manager Ryan Keith Taylor of Noe Road was questioned by police and said it was for fun and then became an addiction, according to his arrest report
