LYNNWOOD, Wash. Oct 21 2011– Police say the shooting deaths of two men at a Lynnwood motel appear to be a murder-suicide.
Officers responded at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to the La Quinta Inn near the Alderwood Mall.
They found a 48-year-old Oregon man dead in a second-floor room with a 39-year-old Idaho woman who was not hurt. The shooting suspect, a 42-year-old Idaho man, was found dead in a car in the parking lot.
Detectives believe the shootings were domestic violence involving the three people.
Police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions says other hotel guests were evacuated while officers determined there was no threat to anyone else.
